Looking to overhaul my gear cab questions

So I have been thinking about simplifying my setup next year. I want simple yet inspiring. I am hoping that the 5150 III mini will fit that bill for me. If it does I will look into selling the Mak4 rig, and my Peters (maybe I have never been able to fully part with that amp). I can't make any amp decisions until I get the 5150 III and have some time to play with it.

I have been playing with speakers, and cabs a lot lately. I have been looking at going back to square one with the cabs. I currently have a Randall Lynchbox 412, Earcandy Buzzbomb 212, and earcandy boa 112(smaller convertable back).

The Speakers I have been playing with are Scumback M75-LHDC, Jensen Blackbird alnico, Mesa/Celestion Blackshadow MC90, Earcandy Greenmachine, Eminence lynch super V, WGS ET65, and Eminence Delta Pro 12A (EVM12L clone).

What I have been thinking about doing is getting two large well built and priced 112s (like the Jet city, blackheart) putting in two different speakers, keep my Boa 112 for one scumback since it sounds great in that small cab, and getting rid of the rest. I think that will be a really cool small rig that will give me a lot of options with three different speakers I could combine in different ways.

Now for the advice I want, what is the down side to multiple 112s instead of a 212, or 412? I think that should be plenty loud for jamming with. What got me to thinking about this is I had an Orange PPC112 that I put a lynch super V in, and it sounded great. I sold it to fund the lynch box but I don't think that the 412 sounds any better than the 112 did.

I was looking into that, but $350 + for each cab vs $150 for the jet city or blackheart since I am swapping out the speakers I am not sure if I can jsutify that high price. They are all made over seas, the Jet city uses a void free plywood made from a wood similar to Mahogany, the blackheart (probably made in the same factory since the dimensions are identical) is baltic birch.

If you dig 1x12's as much as 4x12, I'd go that way. I tried to make the switch to smaller cabs after playing through 4 4x12 for years, and I could never get the low end I had become used to. YMMV.

The Jet City cabs are quality. You may also consider the Mesa Boogie compact 1x12 either open back or theile ported and the Egnater Rebel 12 which is ported.

I picked up a Jet City JCA12S 112 cab for $145 yesterday, took the back off to put in a Scumback M75...The build quality is great!!!! No MDF, or particle board, all baltic birch looking void free ply!!! I heard it is actually not birch, but a wood similar to Mahogany. I think these cabs are great bang for the buck. I will be cranking it up later with a scumback, Jensen Blackbird, and Eminence Lynch. I don't have any comments on the stock speaker, but I will probably give it a go as well, but it is an Eminence made in China for Jet City.

BTW build quality on the Jet City blows the Orance PPC112 made in China out of the water!!! The Orange I had was missing screws, and a bit sloppy construction, I am sure that the Orange Made in UK cabs are better
