coming out of retirement again despite having signed "legal documentation" that would never allow them to perform together again. What a joke and a HUGE disappointment. I guess I should know better though, over the years I have come to see that a lot of what Sixx says is completely exaggerated and some of it is made up. none of these guys like each other and are all about cashing in on the $ now that the Netflix film dropped. (Which i thought was pretty terrible anyway) I've seen them in their prime and in late 2000...still thought they kicked ass. However 2014/15 Vince was already pretty terrible so 2020 Vince ain't gonna be any better. Not to mention poor Mick who will have to stand up there strapped to a pole to keep him from being toppled over by the weight of his guitar. I love these bands but enough is enough. KISS are the worst, Ozzy has got to call it a day, Crue should stay retired (let Vince tour on his own if he wants), and Coverdale should also pack it in.

The only good thing coming from this will likely be Mick's live tone. Always monstrous and the best live guitar tone i have ever heard to this day.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

think about that tour...its gunna be like 40 different buses at each show because there probably aren't 2 guys in any of those bands that get along anymore after all those years.
Not sure how a stadium tour is gunna do either these days. should have stuck to the amphitheaters and would have probably been able to boast a "sold out tour". IDK, we'll see i guess.

Barf on a multitude of levels. Shout at the Devil was great when I was in 6th grade. I can enjoy it now for whatever that's worth. That's about it for me. Add in Def Leppard (with their own beyond atrocious singer) and Poison and this is pretty much the Must-Miss Tour! of my lifetime :D

Agreed on all fronts.. especially the "must-miss tour". Elliot can't sing for shit anymore either. At this point, i prefer to see good cover bands rather than the real band. At least Paul Stanley uses a vocal track for 60+% of the show so it sounds ok.

Lep has been selling out arenas for the last three+ tours so I doubt this round with Crue and Poison will be any different. I've got no interest in going, but I have zero doubt the tour will do well.

Who did they sign legal docs with?

IIRC the band is a corp with all 4 of them as controlling members. If you actually looked at what was said they agreed to not tour again unless all four of them agreed to tour again. Now all four of them have agreed to tour again so there you go.

As much as I may have been into a band, sentimentality doesn't cut it for me. If they can't reasonably bring it anymore, I'm simply not interested. It's not like a ticket is only 18 bucks - which is what I paid to see the Scorpions on the 81 Blackout Tour.

And the level of vocal talent in Klaus Meine versus the "singers" on this tour is about as polar opposite as you are going to get

Huge Crue fan back in the day

But I'll pass.

When their accountants call...

The Crue answers. Money talks. These guys will be up there in wheel chairs and wigs if people keep showing up... and I can't blame them. It's a good gig, if you can get it. Milk the cow till it dies.

I saw them when I was 12 on the Dr Feelgood tour and I had front row seats in front of Nikki. I was always more of a Mick fan but it was a really cool experience. Saw them again with my first wife around 2004 and it was a pretty good show. I have no interest in seeing this either. I love the first two albums. Im not really a fan of hair metal. I kinda went from Motley Crue and Guns N Roses as an 11-12 year old to Iron Maiden, Overkill, and Megadeth pretty quickly. I saw Overkill a few months after the Crue show and it changed my whole perspective on shit.

Mick doesnt get the credit he deserves. Shout at the Devil had such a unique tone and vibe. Nikki Sixx is kind of a hack in my opinion. I do think they saw some crazy shit and did some heavy partying but there was some stuff in the Dirt which was huge exaggerations. I seriously doubt they were actually summoning the devil and knives were magically flying in the room. When I think of someone who probably did shit tons of drugs and went down a really dark route I think Al from Ministry and as a fan of their earlier years you couldnt pay me to listen to him now. And they also did a final tour 3 or 4 tours ago.

Slayer doing their final tour will be back in a couple years as well. I think final tours are just cash grabs. "hey this is my last tour so you better come see us or else". I saw Ozzy on his "No More Tours" in the 90's. They get huge crowds then decide not to give it up.

I saw them on their last tour and it was beyond bad. Mick was having issues and Vince was complaining so - 5 songs in, Nikki Sixx told everyone to sit down and gave a big speech. I left - weird. It was lame. Mick had a big tone that was crushing but he was not playing well (understandably). All the lights and pyro etc doesn't make up for a band that is not good.

I’d like to see details on what each band’s take? This benefits poison the most...cuz hey can’t sellout arenas in any form without support. Def and Journey last tour were selling out arenas. Def can hold their own...Elliot’s voice is way better than 10 years ago. Surgery actually worked. I read Live Nation has contracted Vince losing 40lbs. They must have came to a reasonable number there. Haha. Dude looks preggo.

I’d go, but I am guessing tickets are gonna be spendy. Hell, Bret M charges $100 a head to meet and take a picture with him.

One last note, everyone knows 2 outta the 3 bands meme era hate each other...and 1 has never had that problem.

"I read Live Nation has contracted Vince losing 40lbs"

I read that, and that Crue shot it down as a rumor.

I personally would have up'ed that number to 80lbs.

That means that Vince has agreed to lose maybe 10 lbs and try to sing one extra word in each made up verse...doesn't even have to be the right word, just any word that sort of sounds right. He's been doing this successfully for years with Shout at the Devil and Kickstart my Heart.

" He's a wolf, in the night bloodstain on stayayayaaaage , hands on a thigh, chicken delight, that girl's gonna wait" As long as he just gets a few more sounds in there he should be good to go. Every night can be a different scat for Vince. You just need his tone and less belly. Surprisingly i think with some work he could still sound alright. He still has that Vince tone.

On the plus side, at least Vince won't have to tour with that douchebag drummer who can't sit still during his performances...

The only thing that peaked my interest was mick's tone. It's brutal.

Jesus Christ. Does anyone actually think a “cessation of touring agreement” is a legit legal agreement? There is no such a thing. If anyone is even remotely surprised by this turn events, they should punch themselves in the face right now.

I don't even think KISS would do something like this. Having this document signed and openly hating each other and then going back on the road after your movie does well. With that said, I did see an interview where Nikki and Tommy were together and said that working on the movie and the songs made them realize how long they have been friends and how it brought them together again and getting along.

I listened to all three of those bands so much in high school that I wore out the albums and tapes. It is sad that Poison has their crap together more than Def Leppard and Motley Crue and will probably be the best sounding band on the bill.

To be honest, I don't know how Motley Crue is going to pull this off. As mentioned, Mick is struggling with just trying to stand up and Vince is a blimp. He went from kind of chunky to "My 600-Pound Life" level. I applaud Mick for still doing what he loves though and if it keeps him happy and alive, go for it.

It sucks that all of these bands are finally putting together a concert that all of us fans have been begging them to do for years. We all wanted a show with these big name bands together. Now they are all older and can't hit notes, etc. and nearing the end.
