I'd defend Scott Peterson if he hadn't shown me his true colors last year when he posted outside of TGP. I can't remember if it was on RT or HRI that I caught him posting something that was incorrect/misleading, but it was a clear indication of a poor memory, or history being recreated by him for his post to be relevant or effective. That was the last straw on defending any of his actions in the future for me.
Most of the other mods at TGP are ok, but with SP riding shotgun over them, even they have to be "respectful" of his views.
Will all of the fallout from my severing of ties with my former speaker builder, there have been clear accusations, lies, misleading statements and outright fabrications aimed at me. That finally came to a point where the TGP owner, Brian S, requested that I only talk to him in the future about those issues instead of SP, since he wasn't getting the fair moderation done on personal attacks.
Long story short, TGP ain't perfect. No forum is. And the fact remains that there is no "1st Amendment" rights on a private forum. You are allowed to post on a forum by agreeing to their rules. One of them is the 1st Amendment is supported on them. You play by the rules, their rules, or you get your hands slapped.
Hell, I got suspended at the TGP while I was asleep for something TA Weber wrote about me. When that went badly for him with other members replying to his post, SP decided to suspend me so it would "look fair" to others. I got suspended for a week, TA got suspended for three months.
WTF? I'm getting suspended because TA got his tit in a ringer? LOL It wasn't me who threatened the TGP with a lawsuit while I was asleep!
So please... don't think you can just write whatever you want, link to whatever you want, and not think you have expressed an opinion that isn't a personal attack. In the eyes of the mods/admins, sometimes your posts have "intent" that is construed as an attack.
