Hi guys,

I was thinking about getting a looper for jamming in the band practice room, as the second guitar player is not around atm.

I looked at the TC Ditto Looper, but the Flashback Delay also has a looper built in and doesn't cost a lot more, so those who have used it, is the looper good? Is there an undo function? Or is the Flashback X4 also much better as a delay(and as a looper)?

I already have a delay, but can't hurt to have one more, right? :D

Thanks guys!

I have a X4. The looper is ok, pretty easy to use. But I have found that I really don't get along with the loopers that come with most delay pedals. They are good for practicing with and working out ideas. For live use, get a stand alone dedicated looper :)

I have both the TC Ditto and standard Flashback. The Flashback's looper works pretty well but alters/lowers the output of your signal (while in Looper mode only). I can't remember if there is a undo feature. The Ditto has UNDO, works great and DOES NOT alter the output signal. Also, when you switch off the Ditto it stores your loop until you delete it...even after power down. The Flashback deletes the loop once you footswitch off the effect. Ditto looper is a small package and a better option IMHO!

thanks! It would be only for working out ideas, not live use, so maybe the looper in the flashback might be enough

I have an X4...the looper sounds bad. The delays are awesome though.

Something to keep in mind. The Flashback won't let you use one of its delays when in looper mode if I remember correct. The X4 lets you put any delay on your signal while laying down your loops. I have both and use the Flashback just for delays, where as the X4 does a bunch more and I don't think the looper was that bad. If your not using a looper live, I think it works fine. Also, when trying to use loops live, you better have good time keepers in all the band members. Tried that one time and literally had to get everyone in the band wearing headphones so they could hear the loops accurately. Things would get so far out of whack it was crazy

thanks for the input! Good to know that the X4 also offers the possibilty to use the delay and the looper at the same time. Cheers!
