So I've been working from home today - no problem. Watching the UPS updates for the potential delivery of a 20thA Shiva. Yes, my baby!!! Finally!!! Sitting here doing work, my cell rings, don't recognize the number, ignore it. Check update, says "delivery attempt failed, no answer". It hits me - I phone the number on my cell, it's UPS dude. Dude says he's already left town, didn't know I ask people to knock rather than use the doorbell.

You know. Considering how LONG I'VE BEEN JONESING FOR A FKN 20thA SHEEVS ya THINK I'd at least have the SMARTS to have been on the lookout and PREPARED!!!!!

In my defence, the updates page never actually "said" out for delivery, so I "assumed" it was tomorrow. But still, mega fail Mo, mega fail

I feel for that poor defenseless box that will sleep all alone in a dark cold metal box tonight because of your negligence. How can you even look in the mirror. You deserve to be up with cold chills and sweats all night.

How far away is the hub? you can usually show up there and snag it.. Ive had to do that twice due to phantom deliveries- our ups driver is lazy as hell.

Vancouver versus Whistler, no dice.

Heck I've had UPS dudes not knock or ring the doorbell. When I have something coming in, I look like a crack head peeking out the curtains every 2 minutes lol!

Apparently she lived in Vancouver for a while...so maybe if i see her around..

man only thing worse is waiting, and it says delivered and it's not on your doorstep... I've had this happen 2 times and my heart sunk. They ended up leaving it at the wrong address both times down the street.

That happened to me about 10 years ago, with pieces for an exhaust system for a truck that I was restoring (not nearly as important as guitar gear!).

I looked on the UPS site that evening, and it showed delivered. Like I said, not as important as gear, but still $500 worth of mandrel bent steel. I was searching the bushes, side of the house, etc, and then went to take a second look on the UPS site. There was a note a little ways down the page stating that the box was left in the bed of the truck, 10 feet from where I was flipping out for 20 minutes.

As mentioned, the dude (Randy) tried - he was on my front deck, he put the paperwork on my door, and he called my cell. It wasn't delivery error - it was receiver error.

I'm re-piercing both nipples tonight as penance. Yes...my nipples.
