Excellent (Used)
Excellent items are almost entirely free from blemishes and other visual defects and have been played or used with the utmost care

Well, prove it then…lol

Haha I remember a few years ago I was talking about trading my '56 NOS Custom Shop Strat, which I have played the shit out of and naturally looks like a proper relic. The guy I was talking to simultaneously told me it was worth a lot less for the amount of wear it had, and even more so for not having been relic'd at the factory ?‍♂️?

I listed my '62 CS SG factory aged as "very good" condition.
It's pretty perfect from the factory, but still looks blemished.
But its also almost 20 years old at this point.

I wasn't sure how to rate/grade the finish?

I’ve been wondering about how all the relic guitars would sell in the future. It seems to me that real wear is better or at least ‘authentic’. But wear on guitars historically reduced their value. Now you have people paying extra (or at least full price) for non-authentic wear so naturally they want to get that back out of it when they sell. But it’s beat up with non-authentic wear? So not only should it cost less than a shiny/perfect guitar, it should also cost less than a guitar with equivalent ‘authentic’ wear. And what if a relic’d guitar then gets beat up with real authentic wear? Obv this whole relic concept eludes me. I’ll prob just stick to the notion that if it’s beat up it’s worth less, I don’t really gaf who beat it up or how.

People that are triggered by relic finished guitars are funny
