It's really funny, because the only ones trying to brig Herbert into a Hagen thread are the Herbert owners, really? They need to calm down and go play their amps instead of trig bash the new kid on the block.
1. Spell check

2. Geeze, Hagen owners are touchy.........

Seriously, with any manufacturer that makes ANY kind of product, the latest product is usually always geared towards being the latest, and mostly important, the greatest. To strike the consumer with that "must have!" overwhelming feeling to get the new stuff sold, right? ;) Just like when the Herbert came out and shadowed the VH4. :D Clearly, the Hagen is not shadowing the Herbert, nor anything else shadowing it, it's just different. Ok, now I'm more confused.......

I didn´t say that. The Hagen should be a redesign on the VH4
towards a new area and I´m not raving about my own products.

Peace,
Peter

F*ckin' ACE Reza!! I always think about this little bit of intellect trivia... Well done, and you nailed it with this 'strange loop' example above

Great lil' mindf*ck!!

Ah, as for the Herbert versus the V versus the Hagen versus the Einy... Whatever. Different strokes for different folks. I have had the pleasure of playing the Hagen all afternoon/evening. I'll give my ideas and summaries on this amp in the next week after I get a good solid 20+ hours on it.

Peace :salute:

I promised an in depth review once I really got my chops into this amp... But all I can say to the above is you're damn straight this is a must have amp...

With qualification of course.

Review to follow. Just give me a few days to get this thing dialed in and god-knows-I'll-try for some proper 2 mic, hi-def clips.

Without getting too involved quite yet, I will say this:

The Hagen is not overtly similar to any of the other Diezel amps I've owned and/or played - those including - Herbert, VH4, Einstein and VH4S. As a HUGE fanboi of the VH4, I can honestly say, the Hagen is a different kettle of fish. They're ALL Diezel lineage, guaranteed, but the Hagen - much like the VH4 to the Herbert to the Einy - is a different sibling in the family tree.

A very, VERY wicked little sibling at that

I don't know...this Hagen guy sounds totally different than a Marshall plexi. WTF?

A very well known L.A. session player told me the other day that he owns different amps from all kinds of manufacturers. He mostly has 1 model per manufacturer as the other models "overlap" quite a bit, so he said. He now owns 3 different Diezel models, because each model is so different and great in it's own area justifying the purchase. He uses each amp for different requirements with studio jobs.

I've got all 5 models in my shop and although I do have a personal favorite, I love and respect each model for its possibilities and creative applications.
