Last week on a whim I put a bareknuckle aftermath in a guitar, the pickup has just been sat in my drawer for a few years, took it out of my Mayones Regius. That is a pretty transparent guitar (probably to do with the 11 ply neck thru), and the pickup was pretty bright and brash and a little clanky sounding in that guitar.

I wasnā€™t expecting much but Iā€™m really enjoying it in a superstrat I put together with parts, in that guitar itā€™s just a nice tight and clear medium to high output pickup with a broad midrange, no harshness or clankiness. That guitar has a lot of its own ā€˜voiceā€™ though, being alder with a thin nitro finish and one piece maple bolt on neck.

It goes to show pickups can behave pretty differently in different guitars (and with different amps, pedals, etc)
