LovePedal Purple Plexi is Badass!

So I grab one of these after seeing the demo at proguitarshop.com and F me! Sweet pedal!

Plugged it into my Fender Princeton clone set for shimmery clean, turned it on, twiddled the knobs a bit and damn if I wasn't getting some incredibly sweet plexi tones at a very low volume. Mess with the "intense" knob and now I'm hearing JCM800 tones... Great lower gain Marshally-type classic rock tones. Aerosmith "Rocks" kinda stuff...

I usually don't like distortion boxes, but this one is a keeper...

I think I paid $199 or so. Not cheap, but whaddaya gonna do. The video sold me and it actually sounds good.

I bought the Pinnacle 2 pedal based on some good video demos, still need to sit with that one and really try it out.
Distortion pedals sure aren't like they used to be, they're getting way better sounding...like tubes.

Talk about irony...I never heard of that pedal until I opened up the new issue of Guitar World about 2 hours ago and saw it featured in proguitarshop ad (page 6). It intrigued me enough to go to the site and check it out...I was pleasently surprised by the video. Great sounding pedal!

For me, the OCD was more of a clean boost to goose an already distorting amp. The Purple Plexi turns a completely clean fender tone into a cranked plexi/800 kinda tone depending on how you set it. You could probably use it as a clean boost, but to me it is more of a distortion pedal...
