DESCRIPTION:
This 27.5” baritone signature model for Adam Christianson of Architects is one of the biggest, beefiest, meatiest-sounding guitars that I’ve ever owned. With its traditional Telecaster design (a simple slab body made of lightweight wood with direct-mount hardware and direct-mount pickups), this guitar is really conducive to the naturally twangy sound loaded with percussive attack that is inherent to a Telecaster, which adds phenomenal benefit to super low guitar tunings. Couple the design with the guitar’s instantly recognizable, classic “Blackguard Telecaster” aesthetic and heavy relic job from the LSL shop to provide a “broken-in” feel, and you’ve got a true workhorse for the modern guitarist who has high demands of an instrument both in-studio and live.
Spec highlights:
— 27.5” scale length
— swamp ash body
— body finish: gloss
— roasted maple neck with a bubinga strip
— notably flat D-shape neck profile
— neck finish: satin
— 24 jumbo frets
— 16” fretboard radius
— LSL proprietary, hot PAF humbuckers (slightly akin to BKP Aftermaths in tone)
— Controls: master volume pot, master tone pot, coil-split on the push-pull tone pot
— Planet Waves locking tuners
— Hipshot bridge
— aged butterscotch color with a nitrocellulose lacquer and relic treatment
The relic treatment was wonderfully done by the team at the LSL shop. The nitrocellulose finish, the hardware, the pickup covers, and the pickguard have all been aged to look relatively authentic to typical play-wear. The finish checks, cracks, chips, dings, dents, divots, and other cosmetic flaws that are present on the guitar’s body are all meant to be there. (Believe me, I didn't add anything since I barely played this guitar.)
This particular guitar has been named “Amberly” by the team at the LSL shop.
In the past year or two, the price to order one of these brand new from dealers has increased $500+. And now, with Adam Christianson of Architects having a signature model guitar through Mayones as an artist on the Mayones roster, it is becoming more and more likely that LSL will cease production of this signature model Baribone.
PRICE:
$3,500 OBO + shipping
LOCATION:
East Coast, USA.
I can work with interested buyers on all shipping concerns domestically or internationally.
