Wow just a pedal board and the Xtc . I understand…I just use the space box for verb in the loop cause I luv the tone of the amp so much.

Well for his set he actually had a pair of Bogner half stacks so maybe there was a rack, unfortunately I didn't get a photo in the mad rush as I was only allowed front of stage for 1 song each set. The pedalboard is from that first set (only 5 songs if I remember). The first photo I posted was from the jam at the end so maybe a simplified setup?

There's no rack, just 2 Bogner halfstacks and the Bradshaw-board. He's using the pre-amp section of 1 amp and then hitting both power amps for stereo delays etc. Luke's sounding really good!

Very cool

And there we have it Folks... No need to add lipstick to perfection :D

I actually dig him as an individual too - very straight shootin and down to earth. But seeing this set up? Makes my day.

Great post, thanks!

Allot of greats had XTC's under the stage. If I am not mistaken George Lynch being one of them

Steve Vai, JB, guitarist on rascal flats (20th x) to name a few

I have no doubt about it. Personally, they're one of the finest sounding amps out there - period. I'm still a bit amused at some people's perception/opinion that they're these non-cutting, muffled, blanketed lo-fi amps   :hys:

To each their own.

That's exactly where a bass player should be.....hiding behind the guitar rig.

Good info Yoeri

Only big moment with an XTC on stage IMO was Vai in 1996 with Cliff's 100b.

yeah, luke doesn't have his hair being blown around like vai did back in '96...hard to top that...

And if the pic is high rez enough, zoom in on his strap. That's a 70's porno strap that has leather carved pictures of a continuous orgy! I had 2 like that!

Awesome. I ended up buying that amp from Cliff in 1998 or so. I also bought the 100A a couple months later. Both were fine amps and though I currently have a Goldfinger and Rev. 2 Uberschall, I wish I had one of those or a 20th anniversary Ecstasy as well.

I saw the show in Melbourne on sunday night, and Luke's tone was one of the worst Ive ever heard in my life. It sounded like he was plugged into cheap multi fx unit and straight into the board, there was zero top end sizzle, I was hoping the sound guy just had the mic in the wrong position but when they had the jam at the end, he still had that crappy tone. It was 'lifeless'
I was looking forward to seeing him the most and Satch the least, but Satch had way better tone. Vai sounded like Vai - Luke played great, but afterwards all the guys I spoke to thought Luke's tone was horrible.
The mix in general was quite poor.
