well given most lynch mob songs wouldn't really suit a les paul tone I think the strat works well
 
Couple of odd note choices and timing issues on some runs here or there but overall he sounds really good here and has for the most part as of late. He's found a good balance between all that experimentation, gain, and spontaneous playing. I appreciate more and more that he isn't a robot who just rips exactly the same thing every time. I also dig his rythm playing. I think the Lynch Mob stuff really showcased his ability to write awesome rythm hooks and showed how he grew as a songwriter from Dokken. All in all, besides the phaser and gear whoring, I like Lynch and think he has written some killer material.
 
When I saw Lynch Mob last year my friend and I were able to take in their sound check and hang with George and the Band. He had randall turned on nothing in input. Had Modded Marshall by Bogner and trainwreck. In the video he is using the Modded Marshall and Trainwreck. My friends cousin owns the club they were at. And he has driven George around town etc. They sounded great that night

Yeah, I am just saying I have never seen him play a fender strat in the 30 years I have been watching him. At least not that I can remember... never saw him play an LP either.

come to think of it I have never seen him playing a strat. I have seen quite a few of him with a les paul. He has used one often in the last few years
 
He has had a esp Ltd strat model in the past. I was at a clinic and he played the esp strat. His les Paul is a esp made for him. Not a real les paul.
