ive always been a metal head ,never gave souther rock to much attention, liked what i heard on the radio but not real crazy about it like i was for van halen or other hard rock and metal bands. well this week for some reason i really gave skynyrd a chance and wow they are totally rocking  . that is all.

Gary Rossington, Alan Collins, Steve Gaines and Ed King

thanks to classic rock radio I cant stomach "gimmie three steps", "Sweet home alabama" and "free bird" . other than that, they rule! I know a little, Saturday night special, That smell, ask me no questions, .....killer band all around

yeah,i just dug deeper than the radio hits and was really blown away,i love EVERY MOTHERS SON and I NEVER DREAMED also MISSISSIPPI KID,DONT ASK ME NO QUESTIONS ,CURTIS LOWE,FOUR WALLS OF RAIFORD. such a shame what happened to the original line up.

same here. If I hear Sweet Home Alabama one more time...Then whaddayouknow, kid rock goes and wears it out some more.

that smell, is a great song written about Gary Rossington, listen to the lyrics

steve gaines was one of the best guitarist of the 20th century. you had to be there :aww:

Simple Man. Awesome tune. Saturdaynight Special is cool to.

Tuesdays Gone, Simple Man and All I Can Do is Write About It are my favorites. And the ubiquitous Freebird solo.
