I was already into Priest, Maiden and Sabbath when this came out and even as a little kid, I never thought MC measured up to those other groups. These clowns always sounded like an amateur band with a big budget to me.

I was into Sabbath, Zeppelin and Yes at that point. I didn’t like hair metal at all and really still don’t. TFFL grew on me and I view it as their best album in terms of song quality.
Sound better ? Msybe better songs but Dr feelgood sonic hangs with modern metal songs now . Play them back to back . It’s strange Bob rock could do that in 1989

I love it all. I wasn't a big Warrant fan because I was already out of high school when they came out and was like late hair metal, but listening back they had some great songs.
They have some great songs and a lot of shit ones. Never was a big fan but I could probably muster together a single sided comp that satisfies in the car.
that was the WTF moment with them for me ....... I friggin loved the first two albums ..... and I remember getting a hold of Theatre of Pain before the Home Sweet Home vid hit MTV ...... and I literally sat there and said WTF is this ???
Girls was much better ..... the songs were better and definitely more radio friendly at the time ... but it still wasn't metal to me anymore ...
IMO .... the first two albums had some " punk " element that was lost from Theatre on ....

I agree. I love hard rock and metal. But most of the hair shit that came off the strip in the 80s wasn’t my cup of tea. Stryper, Poison, Skid Row, Quiet Riot, later Crue.
