anyone have this set up? looking to switch channels and use effects at the same time as the m9 has midi..any tips would be cool ? can I run a patch on this like 3 effects ,change ch. and shut off effects loop in one stomp? that would be ideal...

I had a similar setup with the M13 a few years ago.

You can't turn the FX loop on and off but you can definitely change everything else in one stomp. You'll just have to set up a bank with nothing turned on for 'dry' sounds. Use the tube drive model to boost the clean volume if you it mismatched against the blue channel.

I did have an issue with a loud pop when switching from red to green channels, especially with delay on the red channel when using the M9 for midi switching.
Not sure if it was the M9 or an issue with the amp. I kind of gave up on it after a while, now I'm considering either a GSP rack or floor Pod for fx, channel switching and a modeled clean channel using the 4CM.
LMK how it works out for you...

just on a side note could be related to setting the M9 to 'true bypass' or 'dsp bypass'

Hmm yeah im not gonna try anything crazy but needed a midi switching unit that had effects..it says in the manual for the 5153 you can send a cc# 85 to the amp with a value of 64 or less and it will bypass the loop.can it be done? ill find out soon enough...

Yeh I had a slight pop at times, also, it's fairly slow on patch changes. Well, not slow, just not immediate.
