Neither of them can write a song to save their life, ergo, there is no discussion to be had on this subject.
 
MAB doesn't half 1/10th the feel and soul as YJM. But he does have one sweet wig :rock:

define a song? not a pop radio hit, but black star, far beyond the sun, seventh sign, Icarus dream suite, I don't know all are great arrangements from blues to classical to shred to rock/metal. Malmsteen is not a CC Deville of song writing, but he has written some stuff that I can sing/hum to in my head which is more than I can say for a lot of stuff on the radio today.

I for one have never found anything I like at all about MAB, thankfully everyone has their own tastes and opinions and is free to listening to whatever they please :)

To me if your going to attempt to compare them, this video blows anything I've ever heard from MAB away both musically and in technical proficiency.

 
Yngwie can't come close to this. Then again he doesn't have the worst hair of all time like MAB :D What the hell is that guy thinking? I'm not a fan of either one but I'd say MAB definitely plays faster and cleaner than YJM. Anyone who's seen the Doug Marks Speed Kills with MAB can see that. On the other hand we all know that speed doesn't translate into making a song that sounds good, which neither one of them do to me :aww: .



 
YJM basically started the whole Neoclassical thing so props be to him as an originator of a style.....and.....MAB is this mechanical no feeling beast on most of his stuff......I would take Rusty Cooley over him any day of the week.....then again Yngwie has plenty of feeling and that first Rising Force album is a classic.....

That hair is funny.......MAB and Cris Impellitteri.....should have a shred off who sees who will be first to spontaneously burst into flames after playing the fastest 1 zillion notes for second scales..... :lol: :LOL:
 
That hair for me is the ultimate bad hair. The dude's probably still a virgin :lol: :LOL: I'd bet if this thread was about who got laid more it would be incredibly lopsided in Yngwie's favor :thumbsup: ....If he can still find his junk :aww:
