Pete makes everything and anything sound good... Hey Pete, how about a demo off betwen bogner blue, Mad Professor "1", and Carl Martin Plexitone? Just a quick Van Halen off? That is, if you have any downtime. Might be interesting to hear how these sound back to back.. I'm also considering one of these to avoid having to use the loop for my delay and to give me a clean channel on my JCM800.

Holy crap! Dang Pete, you make every single thing you play sound killer.

Yup!!

That's why I just up and bought a Suhr modded Marshall with PT100 voicing!

Pete, I've read some reviews of this pedal and some folks have commented on a Phase 90-like oscillation heard in the tone. I didn't hear this in your demo, have you experienced this phenomenon with this pedal?

Does it come with Pete's talent?

Is that the Talent Booster pedal?

Pete should do a demo with some 15 year old Crate POS combo. I bet it would sound good.

I read those too- I have no idea what that means! I don't hear anything like that....

Nice demo Pete. I really appreciate you mentioning the amp you are using. On many demos, they never mention the amp. They just say clean. I feel amps like Fender give a good foundation for distortion and overdrive pedals.

Agreed- that's why I use the Bassman a lot in these vids- I figure it's a good "basic" sound. I bought that amp for $400 bucks. So I figure no one can say "oh sure the pedal sounds good but he's running it into a $3500 amp".

In the time between Pete posting a pedal/amp demo & you actually receiving it at your house, you fool yourself into believing it's gonna sound like that for you as well..........good luck with that

$400 bucks eh?! I saw one (a 66) at Guitar Center for $899. :aww:

Awesome demo Pete, really nice tones there! :)

I was curious, do you add any post-production EQ to the audio in your demos? I think I read somewhere that
you don't, but just wanted to be sure..

Not usually, not unless I really missed something when recording- I spend time dialing in the tones at the source- I.e. miking the amps really well, tweaking the eq on the amp and/or pedal to really get the sound in a natural way. Just like you would on any session! I want the demos to be an honest representation (while sounding as good as possible), do I really take care miking, etc.

With the torpedo live, it's a lot easier, because once I make a great IR, of one of my cabs, then I can dial that speaker tone up super fast, no fuss.
