The "ConservativeSwapfileUsage" tweak also doesn't apply to WinXP. Most of the tweaks on that site don't really speed up anything. The effects tweaks DO make Windows feel more responsive because the fx on XP are timed extremely poorly. Having messed with effects on web pages I've found how important the effects timing is. Quick enough and it seems fast and slick, too slow and it seems like the system is running slowly.
