I'm reading it the same as you. I wonder why other than it is overpriced imo.
Does anyone remember the original price from when they were first introduced?

If you're talking about the one from Guitar Center I think it was over $20,000 wasn't it? I knew the manager of the Guitar Center in Portland and he said if anybody bought one he would let them take their pick of any other guitar in the store and have it for free, what a joke!

I was referring to the model in the 1st post. Seems like they were around $1,500 when they first hit the market, pre covid, iirrc.

yes if my memory serves me, i THINK it may have been as advertised as low as 1399 when they came out,
im not afraid to admit at the 1399 i was "gonna get a used one" as a wall decoration / discussion starter in the tv room

then covid and eddies passing and instant 2k. and used fools selling for new price. no thanks.

unless they somehow upped the specs from the original announcement, i doubt ill ever get one out of spite.

You can easily get those for that price by talking to a seller. I bought mine new for less.

Probably will be selling it though. It's a fun toy, but I'm not enough of a fan to keep it long term.

They are selling out...new striped series incoming...
The black and white...

1399 new would have been fair. Especially if you could have got a used one for a grand or so. 2k is too much imo, although the one I played was great. My opinion is wrong though since they are selling. A used one sold recently for 1599 plus tax at my local GC.

I remember getting a new Bumblebee in 2014 for like 699…good guitar for that kind of cash. Fret ends needed smoothing out though.

I like my Bumblebee more that I like the Frankie, which is why I'm parting with the Frankie.
