This guy puts out my kind of content! I really thoroughly enjoy his cap comparison videos, along with his pot modification stuff, etc.

Saw this and thought it was really cool! Basically an Ox box that you can build yourself for less.

I've built load boxes before ..... I have a few I use for testing amps on my bench ... but this thing is quite a mashup of different things ...

maybe I'll spend the dough on his schematic .... but I usually only will drop money into something I know won't take a bunch of trial and error research ...

and I get the strong feeling this would take some real time to get right ...

You are probably right on all accounts. The schematic is only $5, but that being said, if it is not useful, then it is just throwing away money so.....

I thought it looked kinda cool but am still lacking in my knowledge greatly to know how useful it may or may not be as far as a circuit/build point.

On a different note; I did tend to think the box he made had a bit more of a natural sound than the Ox, but without being in front of the original amp, I couldn't really know for sure.

My Rivera has a built in Rock crusher system that I find crazy useful, would be cool to have something else of that nature that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I thought about grabbing the schematics and giving it a go myself, but it would just be out on the back burner for now - time is crazy squeezed for a bit.

it's not the 5 for the schematic ...... it's the time ..... that thing would soak up some serious time I think ... and my free time is almost non existent ...

and it did sound really .. really good though ... no doubt
