Mako Mak4X

Wow, just found out about this. Always wanted a Mako but couldn't justify the 4 rack spaces.
This looks great but i cant figure out the front panel from the picture on their site.

Any info on this unit. Is it all 4 channels like the previous one. Relay switching, any idea how the individual eq's work with the buttons on the panel ?

Definitely saving up for this!

Didn't see any info about a Mak4X on andrew's website, unless you are talking about the head version. Hope it doesn't come out. Then my mak4 preamp which I love dearly and am perfectly happy with will become an obsolete piece of shit and will cease to bring me any joy.

No fears man. Andrew said he will offer us Mak4 owners the opportunity to have ours re-chassised into the Mak4X chassis. I think he said it would cost around $200ish. I know I sound like a Mako rep...lol but really, I've just exchanged a few emails with Andrew recently and thought I'd share what I found out.

That's great, thanks for sharing! Not sure if I would go that route though; since I wanted to try to keep everything in a rack format. Does that mean also buying the Mako power amp, to put into the Mak4x chassis?

not sure what is going on with Andrew and Mako amps. Hope he is doing OK.
