I don't disagree with you OP on a lot of this. There are some people who just want to be contrarians. There are some people who want to pretend they are a man when they are a woman. There's people who want to pretend that racism and privilege are the problem, because it's easier than looking at the facts.

I guess my point was, what we're seeing now are the consequences of having authorities lie to people on such a large scale, The temptation to use authority for power is what has destroyed trust. It will take years to repair the damage of what happened during Covid.

When someone is caught in a lie, then to sort the truth out you have to presume everything they say is a lie. Therefore the earth isn't a ball, the moon landing was fake, covid 19 wasn't from natural origins, the vaccine is not safe and effective, and 81 million people didn't vote for Joe Biden in 2020. :LOL:

Not much of anything is 100% right or set in stone, either. There is a difference between critical thought and just assuming everything is a lie without actually attempting to understand aspects of what/why may or may not be. It's the latter that it the problem and those who automatically use distrust in authority or because they have listened to a man who pretends to speak on the behalf of God as crutches are the most ignorant as they outright refuse to even be open minded. Letting others do the thinking for them. Ouch. The worst of the worst. As if it was an idiot politician themself who made scientific discoveries.

It's maliciously ignorant (as in they are trying their best to be as dumb as possible). Hesitation, skepticism, even personal assumptions, etc... are normal and healthy to a degree. Claiming facts or claiming facts aren't simply based on preconceived notions that everything is or isn't a specific way "because the man said it" completely discounts the experienced, informed, and educated views of everyone who isn't "the man" and it makes a lot of people come off like imbeciles who wouldn't even be alive if it weren't for society carrying their worthless non contributing asses through life. These people always have the most to say and never anything to back their claims. You can't even have a reasonable conversation with these types without them grasping for straws at the most moronic levels or just going in circles because they are too dumb to see how dumb they are. Worse people than those drinking koolaid or getting their umteenth booster simply going off of the word of others.

The problem is that the "authorities" have lost all credibility. Their use of propaganda has many, like myself, take whatever it is they are saying as a lie first.

Ah, the decline of the western world. Our educational institutions have corrupted the youth of this country, and some have grown up. The average hard working person doesn't want to be bothered with activism and anarchy. They don't have the time or energy. It's the spoiled, time out, participation trophy people who have grown and want to agitate just because.

I like to think that once the gobernment can no longer print money to corrupt the world, we will go back to a time when the responsible are in charge again. Until then, enjoy the decline of the stupids. And buy some gold and silver.

My personal point isn't of whether or not to trust them, it's more of dismissing others who aren't them simply because the former happened to state the same thing.

The youth aren't the only ones corrupted. Would go as far to say that the dumbest people I see regularly aren't young at all. That's not to say that all are or vice versa.

The older ones were stupid when they were young too and are being used by people with money to fuel chaos.
