His solo stuff sucks big time IMO

I like his solo stuff more than the White Zombie albums, but those are still cool.

+1 on White Zombie being the shit.

His solo stuff was alright at best, its amazing that I can throw in Astrocreep2000 and still rock out through the whole thing.

Astrocreep FTW AWESOME CD still kicks all kinds of ass all these years later

His solo stuf sounded like disco rave numetal. Yuck!

La Sexersisto and Astro Creep were great.

Well I really love synth, so maybe that's why I like it so much. :D

I prefer the WZ stuff, but I saw him live a couple years ago, and that motherfucker puts on a GREAT show.....

He's better at music than he is at movies! He can't write a movie worth a shit.

I liked The Devil's Rejects a lot, but I'm a big fan of retarded scary movies...and his wife looks real hot in that one. :D

Man, I thought Zombie's movies were the best horror movies to come out in a while. No retarded supernatural story lines, just sensationalized violence and gore, nutty characters, etc. The way a horror movie should be in my opinion.

:D

I liked both of his movies. I like em both for different reasons, but I thought House of 1,000 Corpses was the shit. He took elements of all the great gore/horror movies and combined them into one modern offering.

I usually hate all new horror that comes out, but for my taste I thought it was great. I can see a lot of movie buffs not being into the sensationalized aspect of it all.

White Zombie shows were amazing!

I also forgot how great they were till I saw More Human Than Human on that VH1 hard rock countdown. It still kicks all kinds of ass over a decade later.

Devils Rejects was like he was trying to hard to make a vintage horror movie. It was just OK overall, but the ending sucked big time.

I agree, a bit dramatic for my taste and I didn't like the end either, but House of 1,000 Corpses rules IMO!

La Sexorcisto is hands down his finest work. He sucks live. Mind you I said HE sucks. The band whether it be WZ or RZ along with the pyro and lights have always been on point. I don't know if I've ever heard him finish a line live.

In terms of his work in cinema I thought 1000 Corpses was too much of a Texas Chainsaw ripoff. Rejects was more it's own film but still weak. I was honestly hoping Werewolf Women Of The SS was going to be a full length feature. I am a huge fan of the old school grindhouse films. Tarantino and Rodriguez did an excellent job with PT and Deathproof IMO. Here's hoping we see more of that stuff.

At any rate Rob is an artist and overall I respect what he has done for both industries. He had a vision and stuck with it.
