I love this guy. The faces he makes cracks me up...and the thought of playing a guitar with all .70 gauge strings just killed me. I saw that last night and laughed all the way thru it.

Best part is the strings flopping all over the fret board. :hys: :hys:

...shoot,you apparently missed him using his moms wall hanging Fork as a pick.

Wasn't expecting that. I like the salad tong use...it's progressive.

somebody told me it's a kind of sound that someone started duplicating based a specific sound from that band Meshuggah

Other than that, no idea.

Mouahahahah love that giant fork. He should have try with the spoon too!

Djent is how you say it. D jent, dgent. Like nothing but chug chug. If you sing to yourself 4 djents in a row, you'll hear it...and that is what it is. Young bucks who can only play single note tuned low rhythmic pattern.

On a side note, I asked my boss who those guys are, since he owns Artery

To me though, "djent" sounds nothing like chugging at all. It just doesn't have the thickness, that dense intense percussive but roaring chunkiness. To me "djent" is an annoying metallic bouncing springing sound, accompanied by a lot of fizz on the top end and low end wobble.

Somehow while doing some test recordings I managed to get that "djenty springing" sound when hammering on the bottom string. I don't know how else I got that sound. It annoyed me.

Seriously, watching that high e falling off the fretboard was hysterical.
