Unless this thread is about Gwen Stefani's Bush, I'm not interested.

93.3 you out by philly?

close half between Atlantic/Ocean city and Philly
You near Atco? I used to play a club called Bonnie's Rocks there in the early 90's.

I always hated Bush back in the day. But like so many bands, I've gone soft on them. I'm starting to see why people liked them, and I have also been considering picking up 16 stone. The over-rotation on a couple of their songs made me puke them up in my sleep. I think it was Glicerine and Chemicals Between Us. Offspring is another one that I might be going soft on. And U2. The overplaying of these bands was unbearable in the mid-90s. I don't even listen to the radio ever, but somehow, I still got so much more than I could handle.

They never sounded fully rehearsed or "together" to me :dunno:

Agreed.

They were one of the 90s bands that I just couldn't stand. Sloppy drumming. Really bad guitar sounds. Sloppy playing.

Who liked Bush?

I liked them  Well I still do, just haven't listened to them in a long time.
They had some good songs.

I saw them once at a festival, but it ended 20 minutes in when the power failed.

Bravedude, that emotocon is the best.... but seriously, took me a few seconds to realise that was 2 dudes in that picture and one of them was Bush! What was that all about? Were they a boy george spin off band? Does the guy with long hair think he is Rikki Rockett? Caus eI got news for him.. he ain't as pretty!

They were huge Nirvana rip-offs. They were decent. Don't think I'd describe them as F'ing GREAT though...

Joey, I will say that in that video, Gavin's vocal performance is pretty spot on, to what it sounds like on record. I appreciate that MUCH more now a days than back when I was younger. With all this autotune BS and singing along to pre recorded tracks, ANYONE who sounds halfway decent live, singing in a rock format, gets my respect.

I still think that Bush would have been cooler if Gavin *didn't* play guitar, and just fronted them.

Despite the fact that I agree with a few negative comments about the band on this thread, I do still think they're great. Comedown, Glycerine, Letting The Cables Sleep, 40 Miles From The Sun etc are just some of the great songs they did.

I do see what's meant above about them seeming unrehearsed.

I was never a big fan of Nirvana, never really liked them, I love AIC, Bush, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, UPO, etc but.. eh.. Nirvana seemed pretty lame to me, I've always liked grunge but they never did anything for me, I actually thought grunge was pretty lame before I discovered that there were other grunge bands besides Nirvana. *Dresses in flame suit*

i had a rolling stone issue that had boy George in it, in the interview he was talking about Gavin, and mentioned he was involved in a " special" relationship with a drag queen in England. so me and my nephew would give each other shit about anything and would add " Gavin" too the insult. just for shits and giggles.

I think the general census here is that Gavin is a flaming fag, and Bush had really bad guitar tone.

That song swallowed was pretty badass, he was good at writing those catchy choruses that stick in your head

I got tired of hearing them since they were all over the radio back then, The last year or so I have seen slowly getting some of their songs to listen to again.

95.9 THE WRAT HAHAHA

FM radio is like a wasteland, it's completely dead. Funny, when Howard Stern went over to Sirius it seemed like Clear Channel collapsed, or changed their format to dance. But i turn on FM sometimes and all i hear is commercials or the same songs they wore out 20 years ago.
this summer I drove a front end loader for WM and all I could get was WRAT, it was G n R, Bush, new crap that sucked worse than the old crap they were playing, complete time warp. Crap like pap roach

+1. I like a few of their tunes, Swallowed is probably my favorite of the bunch. The 'remix' of Mouth, for American Werewolf In Paris, was pretty cool, too.

My band palys Machinehead from Bush. My band does all 90's rock.
