Marsha Solo Boost ?

I'm loving my Marsha but I can't seem to get around the issue of a volume boost for solos. With other amps I have been able to run a Little Alligator volume pedal in the loop to boost my volumes for solos, but with the Marsha it seems to affect the tone more than the volume (a thinner high end focused sound at minimum, back to normal at maximum). I've also done this in the past with an eq pedal (lowered lever for rhythms, off for leads) but I don't currently own one and I'm afraid I will most likely get the same results.

What's the best way to accomplish a solo volume boost with this amp? Thanks!

Eq pedal will work also and yo can then tone shape it.

I can mod it to have another master volume.
Details please...cost, turnaround time, footswitchable? This sounds like the way to go I think.

I just posted this in another post. You need the footswichable gain/volume mod.

Dave Friedman hooked my Marshall up so I have a footswitchable 2nd channel with a separate volume knob. Another option would be to pick up a clean boost. My friend Rob Keeley makes a great one.

Cost is 150.00 you can have 2 gains and masters or just another master. Could add this on with in a week or so.

Send it to me with a note on what to do and also follow it up with a email when I receive it. Thanks

I have the clean on the back and the master option. Dave uses a stereo cable/dual footswitch. One for clean on/off and the other for the 2x masters. So yes it all functions ok. My only gripe is that there are no LEDs' on the footswitch to indicate which mode you are in. Can power be supplied for an LED footswitch Dave? What are my options?

You could split it down to two mono jacks. Maybe Dave will chime in?

You can also use a Y cable with two 1/4" mono plugs into a single three pole 1/4" plug. I may even have one...if you're interested let me know and I'll check.
