I have never heard the H30 Heritage speakers.. would you recommend this cab for classic/modern heavy metal tone? no downtuning..

Yep, I would. I've had mine for a few years now and it is my favourite cab by a long way.

It excels in both the studio and live and is built solid.

We used it for all the rythmn guitars on my bands ep (see link below).

Awesome sounding band you have there! :) Been playing any festivals this summer?

I have a H30 Anniversay... it's kinda bright with a woody nasal sound. How does the "Heritage" compare?

Anyone tried to mix the heritage with Vintage 30's or h75's?

I,ve got an AHX cab with H30 55s' in the top and V30s' in the bottom. The V30s' give the cab the tight bottom end, the H30s' are woody and airy. They are both the same loudness and similar frequency so the blend easily.

I had the H75 55hZ Heritage in my cabinet and they were way smoother than the 70th Anniversary's.

I might have to buy at least a pair of these and try the V30 combo!!!! They are so damn expensive!!!

You're better off buying a used loaded cabinet. I've seen them go for $600-$700.

Yeah, that makes more sense. I will keep my eye out on one. Thanks!!!! Wouldn't the Scumbacks H55s be comparable?

Not to derail the topic but damn you guys sound killer. That sounds absolutely perfect! Great mix, execution, band sounds really tight, tone is great, vocals are excellent, that sounded good thanks for sharing

It does sound awesome!!!   Wonder if they have the CD to purchase?

Gonna pick up a almost brand new 1960AHW later today.. just need to try it out. going for 700USD, in my currency though.
I'm sure it needs to be broken in aswell.

Gonna be interesting to check out the Heritage vs the 70s anniversary speaker.

I like the mix of a 70's ann. with a Celestion Black Shadow C90. The C90 has such a rich bottom end.

Cheers, we haven't done any festivals this summer, played with alot of cool bands though, hoping if all goes well we will be next year. We are working hard at the moment writing for our album due to be released early next year and gigging. Playing with Firewind in two weeks though!! Can't wait!

Got the 1960AHW home now. The Heritage sounds quite much more throaty than the Anniversary. It's a very clear speaker, but I prefer the Anniversary when we take the gain and sound into vintage metal territory. It has more bite.

The cab in general sounds "to me" darker than a standard 1960A. Is the wood different?

Looks great. Love the grill cloth on your 1960A.
