I'm buying another JVM, and am looking at both a traditional 1960, and 1960BV w/V30's. I'm wondering if the V30's would be a bad idea with the JVM, since it's so mid-based. I'm selling the Stiletto. As great as it sounds, and doesn't work well for low volume, when I can't turn it up. At the same time, I don't think the G12T-75's would work as well for the same reason.

I like it. V30s + T75s in an X pattern sounds pretty good to me as well with the JVM FWIW. The JVM sounds great at low volume too.

Yes, I've owned the JVM twice. I simply love that amp. Only complaint is they are full of hiss, but a good noise suppressor fixes that to some degree.

get the g12t-75...
jvm is built with these speakers in mind...

And I would search out an older JCM 800 cab with those 75s....

JVM sounds amazing with an EVH 5153 cab.
LOL almost anything sounds amazing with that cab.

My experience with my JVM's...

Made for GT-75's. I personally hated those speakers for everything until I bought the JVM. Low, mid and high volume...sounds good at all levels.

GB's...great at low levels IMO. Did not like pushing them with the JVM. One of my favorite all around speakers with most every amp I owned - except with the JVM at studio or high levels.

V30's...what I have in my Bogner 2x12. Pretty good all around but for a 4x12, I'd go with the 75's.

Yep...on the money.

I had three 4x12's before I downsized...one with GB's, one straight with 75's and one old 800 slant with 75's. That 800 slant just killed with the JVM...total goob selling that cab.
