Hi Everyone,
I recently got the chance to work on an MGL 50 and I basically rebuilt the whole preamp with my own Arcturus circuit.
Compared to my older Arcturus, I've added two new switches.
1. Gain reduction switch that lets you choose between my original Arcturus circuit with tons of gain and a version with less gain that's more like a Custom Jose.
2. Big switch for the higher gain mode that makes the amp a lot fatter, but therefore a bit less cutting.
I really like the transformers in this amp. It's got a custom Dagnall PT and Merren OT.
This is one of my favorite amps from anything 80s to modern metal.
Let me know what you think!
Cheers,
Eddy
