Anyone have any experience with this amp? i am new to the "repairing gear thing" and certainly need to learn. I did some research and the reviews are good and the amp sounds awesome, just the 5 way footswitch won't work. i've looked over the footswitch and appears to work, some things i[ve found online stated that there is a 5W battery that operate the footswitch and the battery is likely dead. Any help would be great? is this something i should let a pro fix? (they take forever, need my amp sooner than 3 months, ya know?))

Thanks!!!

Chris

Yeah I read the op's message and got to wondering what kind of fs does he have if it's a 5 way one? You can change the channels with basically any midi foot controller and the original 3 way fs but I haven't heard of a 5 way fs for the 6100.

Great amp though! Had a modded EL34 version a while back and our other guitarist had the 6L6 version. Quite a versatile Marshall IMO and it really does have a good clean channell as well.

The 3 way FS that you showed in your pic looks exactly like the one i have, minus the effects switches. If you have an extra i would certainly be interested in buying one. I'm in the Tacoma area. londaxe: if you're in the area, sure would appreciate a fs that worked. Text me 253 271 4055

And yes, the amp is awesome, warm distortion channels and the clean is awesome, i'm very happy with it, i just need the foot switch to work.

Thanks again,

Chris

maybe the footswitch you have is wired differently. does it actually fit the socket on the back of the amp?

i'm in new york, but i can send this to you for the cost of shipping if you want? i've already got two of them and no amps to use them with :scared:

here's a picture. it's pretty scratched up, but it worked fine the last time i used it.
