marshall 9200 power needs preamp?

hhhmm, mako might be fun, wounder if i could borrow 1, hhhmm
 
It's usually the other way around....pick your preamp weapon of choice, as this is where the tone lies, then match the power amp to it. At the end of the day, you will find that the power amp of choice has little to no affect on the output tone shaping.
 
The Bogner Fish sounds huge with a 9200. Nice and punchy as well. I highly recommend! :thumbsup:

i hear ya, had it buried in the back room, was looking for the mark2 proto type that i forgot about. Its been a years.. U know how that goes.. :D

i won't be using a power amp for it anyway. just the sims through the FOH and active monitors. but, i never decided on a power amp for my Triaxis. been driving it with the back end of a Marshall amp.

After some experimenting in a store I worked in that was a Boogie dealer the Triaxis sounded best feeding into the return of a Marshall (DSL's at the time). Definitely more punchy and immediate than going through a 2:90 or 50/50.
