I don't know.....I have a JVM Satch model and it is just so much more useable to me than any amp I've had before. 4 great sounding channels. Great and functional noisegate! Records beautifully with my Torpedo Live and most of all sounds amazing at any level either at home practicing or playing live. I'm in the middle of completing a commercial project with it and it sounds perfect!

Only of you're playing lead. Trying to play high gain Rhythm with a 2203 and a Tubescreamer is the reason that people started buying Mesa and 5150's.

Not a fan of Mesa, but they soundly kicked Marshall's ass in the late 80's-90's and onwards in terms of producing high gain amps. JCM900's and DSL's don't rate when compared to the Dual Rectifier.

That said, I wish I'd bought an old 2204 back in 2000/2001 on ebay when they were 4-500 bucks.

Right now, Marshall is making a little something for everyone. If you can't find a Marshall that you like right now, you probably just don't like the Marshall sound. And, comparing a Marshall to a mesa is a completely different thing. And in the late 80's and 90's I gaurantee Marshall sold way more amps than Mesa. My god, just look how many 900's are out there.

Hell, When Ola did the comparison of they 8 high gainers ,the JVM js came to the top only behind the Deizel, IMO. They are making some killer sounding amps. to say they are fucked up? As the guy earlier said. More companies should be as fucked up as they are
