For those of you who own a DSL or DSLH, what are you setting your bias to? Some idiot had put 6L6s in the one I just bought. I have some EL34s for it. Just curious about the bias. Thanks for the help.

Been a while since I had a DSL, but with all marshalls I bias 30-40ma per tube, 60-80 per side in the 100w. Somewhere in that range I find what sounds best and leave it. EL 34s. If 6L6 were in there, not sure if the OT could be damaged?

i have a jcm 2000 dsl 100. i like the bias set at 38 ma per tube. they bias in pairs. 1-3 and 2-4.. so i set my bias at 76 ma. ymmv.

Someone put 6L6s in it and managed to not damage the amp in any way? That's impressive.

mine is a 1998. it had the runaway bias problem. i put a new motherboard in it. problem solved. :)
