Marshall headshell modifications - metal grille

Any advice/part sourcing tips/warnings to share regarding the following project?

I'd like to replace my JCM800's front headshell's faceplate (not exactly sure what to call this part of the headshell) with the same (or similar) metal grille as shown in the following pic. The stock wood one appears to be mounted with 5 screws only (2 on each side & one center). Is it as seemingly simple as that?

To update this thread and hopefully gather some more opinions, I found these grilles. The dimensions seem to lineup with the area in question. I'm concerned that these grilles may be on the too flexible/thin side and not offer enough protection. What do you guys think? Would these do?

Those look like standard gutter guard material you can buy at Lowe's or Home Depot. They are good for rear panel vents on heads, but would be too thin for an unsupported front panel like the one in your original picture. For that, you need expanded metal. Do a search for expanded metal and you should find several vendors.

That face is made of expanded sheet metal. Lowes & Home Depot usually have them in store in 12"x24" pieces. You'll have to measure but I think that'll be long enough to fit across. A basic metal cutting wheel on an angle grinder will be fine to cut it to the right height. After that file any sharp edges down with a hand file and spray paint it your color of choice. To make it a bit more durable a coat or two of clear would be good too. Wood screws and washers to mount it.
