Marshall jcm800 2204 pre or post PI MV?

Anyone know if marshall jcm 800 2204 master volume is pre or post phase inverter?

Pre! lots of people put post in there or PPIMV after by using one of the unused speaker jack holes so no drilling is required.

I think that they sound great with both masters. The mod 5 has this along with some other changes and sounds fantastic.

I agree! I love my 2204 w/ Mod 5! The PPIMV doesn't compress the tone as much as the pre version that the stock Marshalls come with.
