I have two brand new JVM 210H heads at my house right now and I have been playing them constantly since last weekend...

I love this amp alot... Espcially with an RFT in the V1 of the preamp section

Sounds amazing with my ESP Rob Arnold Sig for 80's shred and my Hot Rod Tele on the Crunch yellow mode with some grit just keeps pulling the blues rock mojo out of me non stop...

My new 1960 Les Paul VOS Custom shop just sings too...

I'm running it with a VHT Fatbottom straight cab abd a Bogner front loaded Uber kab with some Boss DD3 and a tad of Boss CH-1 on clean tones and it's bonner riffic IMO...

I had a 410 when they first came out and I used it all the time for a while... I sold it for some reason realted to fiending

I really like this 210 amp alot....

You can get them NIB these days for just a little over $1100.00 these days and I think they are easily worth it... I dumped my new 6534+ EL34 peavey and got this and feel like this amp has more of the authentic "thrash" thing going on and better clean and blues tones...

I love my JVM205h. It is a great live amp with the dual masters and decent verb if you need it.

Overdrive orange is the tits.

The 210 is my go to amp these days.

I absolutely love OD Orange for heavy/thrashy tone. I use an RFT in v1 and v2.

The clean tone is pretty damn good on these amps too.

that's the "harmony central forums" edition.
it can do "teh bro0talz"

lol

Noob question....

What is the difference between the 205, the 210 and the 410?

I hear good things about the JVM amps.

I've had my JVM 410 for 3 years and I still love it. It is amazing for thrash. I've realized recently that I really only need the gain at 3.5 (without a boost) on the OD1 orange mode and that can do the thrash to melodic death tones that I need. It's actually pretty quiet when you have the gain that low. It's just weird using a Marshall whwere you don't have to crank the gain to get metal tones.

Also, I think the numbers stand for channels and wattage. 410 is 100 watts and 4 channels, 210 is 2 Channels and 100 watts, and 205 is 2 channels 50 watts. Each channel has 3 modes too so the amp is really versatile.

here's a pic of mine. I got a dude to build me a custom white headshell

Always get a kick out of your posts Giles. Glad you are liking the JVM. You need to try one of the Fortin amps. Seriously, if you like old school thrash the Cali mod can get you there in spades.

I believe it's 205 is 50W 2 channels, 210 100W two channels, and the 410 is 100W four channels. Each of them have three modes per channel, so they cover a lot of ground tonally. I loved the 410 I had.

My 410 has been my main amp since they came out. Just used it on my first country session.

Producer had a Duel Reverb he wanted me to use but after both of us goofing around with the JVM we ended up using it for all the tones...clean to slightly pushed to solos. Used the JVM with a "real" 62 Strat...into a Boogie V30 1x12 cab...was AMAZING. Used that for everything along with a Tele here and there.

Fun session. Some great tones. So much so the engineer is buying the combo for the studio.

Most underrated amp on the market IMO.

I don't have much faith in Marshall's recent amps, but the 210 and 410 GAS is fairly large these days.

How tight can you get it while still retaining some good bass?

To me it's tight but then again I can be a very tight sounding player...and it's got more than enough bass IMO. It's obviously very Marshall sounding but it's got more than enough bass, gain and all tones in between.

I just don't really have amp gas anymore...I've either owned or used/played just about everything out there (barring Friedman and Fortin stuff) and I love the amp. I've played most every Bogner (not a fan) and the other day finally go the chance to play the Unberschall...I was expecting massive gain and low end and just thought after playing it...JVM's got just as much if not more gain and just as much low end. Again, certainly enough for me. I'm just using the Bogner as comparison because they are great amps whether I'm a fan or not and the Uberschall was kinda the last amp I wanted to try of the "grails" out there.

Really for the only thing left is the Friedman and Forting stuff. Like I said I've owned or played just about everything else and have never been gasless this long in 30+ years of playing. I know, heresy to some.
