Marshall KS Quick Preamp Tube Question

Dave or anyone with a KS Marshall,

What would you recommend in the way of preamp tubes by position to optimize the KS modded Marshall. Going to retube here shortly.
 
Wish I had mine to give you my input still waiting though maybe I'll get a invoice this week bet you love it huh!

Been way down the Marshall Modded road, this ended my GAS. Best damn Marshall tones out there, worth the wait for sure!!
 
Chinese 12ax7s with maybe something else in the fist slot.

Dave, do you recommend RFT's for the Marsha? Like all RFT's in the pre amp??
 
I tried some Electro-Harmonix preamp tubes in the other day and they sounded great as well.

To be honest, I think anything would sound great in this amp because it is not buzzy and just sounds so full.

I had JJ preamp tubes in my Splawn Competition years ago and they sounded great. I agree with the post above concerning the Sovtek LPS as well. Nice, quiet preamp tube.

In a 5150-III I owned at one time, I used a mix of all different tube types. I had a Ruby in there, EH, Sovtek, etc. It was a great mix.
