I'm sure there's been posts on this before.

I'm asking because a friend is looking for a new head, currently owns an old Marshall valve combo but wants more balls and gain.

He asked me about this and I said it was slightly suspect because it's a new Marshall, has built in reverb (Don't know why I questioned this) but what found strange, although thinking this may be stupid... the crunch channel is one the OD side? On my 5150 and the DSLs etc etc, the 'crunch' is on the clean/rhythm side rather than the OD... :S

What do you guys think? Is it a decent amp?

Seriously, a MG sounds waaay better than the MA series

They are horrid.

a randall warhead would be a step up from that amplifier.

Seems Marshall is being influenced by crate and Line 6 and being run by accountants...To me anyway.
