We recently published the next Marshall Modification Project interview. This time we spoke with Ossie Ahsen (Blockhead/3 Monkeys) who walks through his methodology for understanding historical mod work, his tone quest in reconstructing EVH's recorded tone, digital modelling limitations, the builder community, and his work with Brad Whitford and Aerosmith.
We will be tweaking the presentation for the next few interviews and speaking with amp profilers, guitarists, and more techs in the near future.
A book on this research project is scheduled for release with Routledge Publishing towards the end of 2027.
