I bought the one off of Wayne. Maybe he will chime in. Can’t remember which one it was but sounded pretty good… another member wanted it so after I was done playing with it for a few months I sent it down the road. It was based off of the old pedals…

you had my Guvnor clone .......

I'd like to see a schematic on these to see if they are using JFETS or op amps .....

They sound terrible and fizzy to my ears. Sort of a money maker for them I guess but not sure how this beats the guvnor

Do JFETS have more headroom?
What would be the difference??
Not about headroom ....

Most " amp in a box " pedals utilize JFET transistors as replacements for a tube ( or at least one half of the tube like in a amp ) gain stage ....

Some sound pretty good .... A lot of Wampler Pedals use JFETS ...... I just haven't found one I've liked a lot ..

now the op amp driven circuits like the BE-OD ...... I feel like you can get those much more " amp " sounding

as someone mentioned .... it's a simple marketing ploy ......they're leaning on the history of all those amps to sell pedal versions ... not a dumb idea at all

but I bet if you put them all down on the floor they're going to all sound basically the same ....

I'd still like to see how they're built

Mr British bulldog lunchpale hands provided an absolutely atrocious sounding demo.

Unsure if it is him, the pedals, or the setup in general.

First issue, he calls the top mounted jacks the "Front of the pedal".

Next: Take pedals and push them through an already pushed amp (Katana) copying a Marshall style amp... How can we even properly hear them? Surely no one has a 900 and is pushing a 900 pre amp pedal into it.... Marshall keeps doing this, it's like they are idiots.

A treble filled, fizzy mess presented through a soundstage that could not deliver anything other....

Should run these into a flat and clean amp to see what the pedals actually even remotely sound like.

Is it just me or does every riff sound like he played it and they grabbed it on the first take.

Some people are saying his playing is so good it could sell anything.. HA!!!

Why does he need to be the flavor of the month player?? LOL
Clearly he's struggling. He must have a health issue..

That's funny, he tried to play Slayer "bloodline" but couldn't even play that very good... He said he was a metal head?? C'mon.

Did SW pay Copyright for all those Riffs??
OR is there a Video loophole somehow??

That guvnor pedal was sweet. I wish I would’ve kept it. But like I said another member wanted it and I had5 or 6 of Wayne’s pedals so I hooked up a homie…

From my understanding the Amazon Basics Distortion is a clone of the Guvnor. It’s a damn good sounding distortion with true bypass whatever it is.

The cheap pedal game has stepped up big time…. I love my tuner and my bro on here hooked me up with a donner 10 band and a ts clone… both are killer. The ts clone died a horrible death though…it deserves a thread all its own….

They sound pretty good.
I'd like to hear into a tube amp loop, or atleast a nicer tube clean signal. All of Sweetwater's demos, (no matter what it is), suck. And Nick Bowcott's are absolutely atrocious.

Oh I didn't watch the bowcott video, his playing is fucking terrible

We have these pedals at my local store though, and i've played them into DRRI and a PRS archon and they sound great

But does the Plexi pedal capture the loud-clean clang vibe of a real plexi through a DRRI?

I can't believe the dude demo'ed these through a Katana. Garbage ass amp.
