Marshall SL-X?

I used to run a JCM 900 4500 and it fucking rocked. Bone stock, and it sounded huge. Didn't need a boost, or any of that.

My buddy Eric has a 4100 Dual Reverb 100W head and I love it. It is super versatile and IMO sounds much better than his 800. It can almost hang with his Mark IV.

The 4100 Dual Reverb is a killer amp as is the SL-X. A friend of mine has every Marshall amp known to man and right now his favorites are the JCM 900s he has. Great amps! Built like tanks!

every marshall I have ever played (including 900's and sl-x) need to be on about 5 with the master volume to get into the "sounds great" territory
