I just jammed out on my buddy's 8100 with his 4x10 cabinet. I never knew that Marshall made a 4x10 cabinet! Amp sounded great to me once it was dialed in! I can definitely see how this is a one trick pony, but it does it well!

Are you talking about the matching cabinet for the 8100? If so, that one is actually a compact 4x12.

Yeah, the Marshall 4x10s are cool cabs. Not the full tone of a 4x12, but smaller and more mid focused.

I'm not sure to be honest. The cabinet is definitely smaller than a normal 4x12. He says it's a 4x10 but I'm not sure. Is there really such a thing as a 4x10 cabinet? Parden me for the dumb question.

Yes, there are 4x10 cabs. I’ve owned one.

That makes sense. I think he said it was a 1965 cabinet. Straight in no pedals and it ripped!

Yep, Marshall has made 4x10 cabs so it could very well be.

I have a mid 80s 1965B lead series that sounds fucking awesome.

It's a little more scooped than a greenback/blackback/t75/v30 1960, but very very cool - they have a much different bass response

Edit: pic for posterity
