You all knew as soon as I landed another Marshall a wank video wasn't to far behind. Same garbage I always play with the same old camcorder recording quailty or lack thereof. Anyways goofs and all here it is... a quick wank video of my Marshall Vintage Modern 2466 halfstack. I used my ash Washburn N4 into Barber Direct Drive into the amp. In the amps fx loop I ran an old Rocktron Intellifex for a little reverb.

EDIT:
Settings as follows:
Reverb off, Vol 8:30, Pres 1:00, Bass 1:00, Mid 11:00, Treb 12:30, High Dynamic Range, Mid Boost in, Detail 5:00, Body 10:30. The Barber Direct Drive Vol maxed, Tone 12:00, Gain < 9:00

Damn you are killing me bro. I wanted that amp bigtime but settled for a DSL50, which does rock, but I can't get this amp out of my mind. Thanks, dick.

:hys: I actually wanted to get a used Marshall Plexi and send it to Dave Fiedman and have him but his Black Eye mod in it. But moneys been tight and i ran out of patience. So you take all that and the fact that I've regretted selling my lat VM so much for so long... I had to have another. Playing this amp is a lot of fun for me. It's not for everyone of course but it suits me quite well.

woo, sounds great man!
that's some killer playing too, that amp seems to fit you like a glove. Always wondered why these things weren't more popular.

btw, did you own one of these before? I seem to remember you having one, and wondering why you ever got rid of it.

Yes and I don't know why either. Thanks for listening. The VM is killer crunchy and when you add a boost pedal it easily gets into shred territory. Think about it, Paul Gilbert, Slash and Robin Trower all use this amp. This simple amp covers a lot of rock styles. But I could say the same for a lot of Marshall models.

Sounds great man, I knew you'd land another one of those, you've been regretting it from the day you let go of the last one ;) The only one I dont regret getting rid of was a TSL. It never sounded right to me. Nice playing

Killer wanking there.....I like it better than your old Stiletto Sound too.

I need to play one of those bad boys! PS....can't go wrong with "It's a monster...we all have it in us..."  or "She...likes to eat....Suzy wants her all day sucker...suzy wants her all day what?"

Sorry I'll quit singing through my keyboard now!  :D

If you know you're going to go out and demo one sometime let me know. I'll give you some settings to try

Thanks for listening everyone. Love this amp!!

taken in consideration the camcorder mic,

i must say that this is a great "hair metal" tone like pretty close to perfect for that 80s sound.

I'm stoked you got the Vintage Modern back. My favorite amp clips you've ever posted. Man, you've got great killer chops!

Bro if I do and you smash me in the nuts with football cleats I'll understand. I kinda sound the same through pretty much whatever I play but this amp seems to be more "there" when I'm trying to get something out of a note. I agree this is my amp. Still would love to eventually buy more Marshalls. Maybe get one sent to Dave Friedman and maybe even one sent to Mike Fortin but this amp has to stay no matter what else I aquire. Hell I'm not even selling the Randall as I do think that amp has a lot promise tonewise. But yeah... the Vintage Modern is my sound.
