This is a remixed thing with DiMarzio D-Sonic in Ernie Ball Morse. Axe FX Ultra with High Power 2 on rhyth gtr and American Lead 2 on lead gtrs all to recto cab model with U87 mic sim. Strings deader than Jerry Garcia. This is heading for further writing and HWM #2? It will be bad-ass to get some electric violin on there!!! In the big picture I think these are my best Axe tones to date. I am not feeling like I need to replace them at all. Curious to hear your brutally honest opinions.

That lead tone is ripping John, I would call it a day myself tweaking wise

Thanks very much guys. yeah, I think I've figured out how to make the machine do what I want for this family of tones.

Man, that tune was cool! I really dug those tones too - I'd be leaving them too!

Sounds awesome John!!!! is that an outboard wah or the AxeFx's indigenouos wah?

Very cool clip! One of my favorite Axe clips yet.

Damn that sounded great!! I am liking the rythm tone better than the lead tone.

Shit, I guess it's time to start reading up on this AxeFx thingy, looks like its the swiss army knife of tone.

Thanks for the listen fellers!

Holy crap, that didnt suck at all.... I really need to dig in and check that puppy out, I just love my dunlop rack wah too much to bother...

UGGGGGGH!!!

You guys are killing me with these clips!

That sounds great! i like the 2nd solo bit halfway through when the riff drops lower than you think it will, it's unexpected and cool! More a comment on your creativity than the tone I guess but the tone is cool too...

Right on Pete, so glad you enjoyed it. I don't know how I'm gonna get out of the B section, but we'll see. The game now is finding a way to get back to A after a little further breather. Also, hope I get a chance to say hi next week at NAMM. Are there any days you plan to be at Suhr, etc.?

Sounds killer John! For the rhythms, are you multi tracking with your bridge bucker and some of the single coils? It sounds bitchin!

On an unrelated note, how much do you love Steve's solo in the Kansas tune, Silhouettes in disguise? Thats the only Morse that I ever really dug into learn and I love it!!!

Kage

Sounds a little bit like the tone Death Magnetic. I don't mean that in a bad way.

Thanks again guys.

No, these were all done with a DiMarzio D-Sonic bridge pickup. Bar magent towards bridge.

Not too familar with that one. I shedded the 90s albums like a big dog along with most of the Dregs stuff, but never really checked the Kansas album out in any depth. Guess I should.
