For those who've tried these guitars, which do you like best and why? The only one of these I've gotten to try were the Mayones's. I tried a couple Setius and Duvell's that I thought were decent but nothing amazing, but I tried a Regius once at Axe Palace and it was hands down the best super strat metal type guitar I've tried. I compared it to some custom shop Schecter, Dean, and Framus's (the Framus was super expensive) and I thought the Regius killed all of them in both tone and playability, at least for my taste, but those others were also nice. The Regius sounded louder and punchier and crisper yet deeper acoustically than those other guitars and sounded better than the other amplified even though it had Seymour Duncan JB/59, while the others had Bare Knuckles and one had a Lundgren M6.

I also own a BRJ Jekyll, Skervesen Raptor, Suhr Modern and have also tried Vigiers, Parkers, Flaxwood, Jackson Custom Shops, Charvel Custom Shops, Ibanez Custom Shop, other Framus, Suhrs and USA Schecters, PRS Customs, Dean Custom Hardtail, and I liked the Regius I tried better than all these guitars! And I'm sure there are plenty other noteworthy guitars that I can't remember at the moment. But those GNG's seem incredible and I've heard so many good things about the ESP Custom shops, so I'm also really curious about those. What do you guys think? Feel free to also let me know if there's other brands I didn't mention that you think are as good or better than something like a Regius or GNG. Maybe I just happened to play one particularly awesome Regius and the usual ones aren't as good? I don't really know, but I'm just wondering since the other model Mayones I've tried didn't really impress me. I'm also a little curious about the Siggi Braun guitars

If you don't care about the budget, go to ESP custom order. One of my friend orderd custom from esp which costs almost 9k. That is the best guitar I've ever played.

I don't think I'd ever pay that much for an electric guitar, but I'd consider 4-5k if it's as good or better than that one Regius I've tried. Now that I think about it, one of my friends (who's about an hour away from me) has a few custom ESP's that he swears by, so maybe I'll try his when I have time

My friend got serious custom painting. I think that's why it cost so much. What about ormsby guitar? I heard good thing about them.

Oh yeah those look interesting but I've never heard anyone opinion's about them before. They're also way cheaper than these other brands

There are some reviews sevenstring.org. I heard their tone woods are very good. And looks killer!!

I've never played a Regius. But I have three Duvells. One regular Elite, one Koa Limited, and one Buckeye MBC. All three are great, but the Buckeye MBC is the best guitar I've ever played, since I started playing 20 years ago.

So if you say the Duvells you played didn't impress you, but the Regius did... I really want to try a Regius then lol.

Maybe the Duvell's and Setius's I tried just weren't good ones for whatever reason. Honestly, I'm quite picky and are I rarely get that impressed with most electric guitars I've tried. Many of those guitars I mentioned were nice, but the only guitars that have really wowed me were that Regius I mentioned, my Vik Duality 8 string (got it for a steal), my 93 SG (by far the best playing and sounding SG I've tried), the Nik Huber's I've tried, and a few Les Paul Customs

What was so special/different with that Regius compared to the Duvells? I'm curious because never seen a Regius in person.

They were very different. The Regius was very heavy, while the Duvell was light weight, and didn't sound as loud, dense or punchy acoustically. The Duvells and Setius's I tried were all kinda flat sounding acoustically. They also didn't play nearly as smoothly for my tastes as the Regius. The Duvell's and Setius's there were all loaded with different types of high output Bareknuckles, while the Regius had a Seymour Duncan 59/JB set. I tried these other Mayones's at Guitar Guitar in the UK, and the Regius at the Axe Palace for what it's worth. I was very surprised because I was expecting those Mayones's to be like the Regius I tried before, but they weren't. Guitar Guitar didn't have any Regius's at the time to compare unfortunately

Are you willing to wait well over a year for one of Guilios builds?

ESP Custom. They'll build pretty much anything you want.

How would one order a ESP Custom ? Any dealer can do it ?

Are you browsing Jon's guitars
No what's that?
He's a dealer for the three guitars you listed. I would see if he has any build slots. He'll tell you GNG and McNaughts are the best guitars he has played. Red Dragon Guitars..

GNG custom pickups are the best I have heard and his guitars have allot of great things going on. Balance, comfort, resonance, tone. His mahogany is the best I have seen. The Italian Poplar is an awesome tone wood. I would get a Morgoth. The contours of it make it fit to your body. His fanned frets have outstanding playabilty if you go that route. Great neck carves. The tone is very rich and super clear. Hit Giulio up on Facebook to chat. You will see how passionate he is. Something special in the final product. Hard to explain but if you play a Morgoth you can sense his violin making skills but in a metal, hard rock kind of way. The way your pick hand hand rests over the strings. Have to play one which is not easy as there are not many around. I think he's built maybe 250, maybe more now, in the last ten years and this is his livelihood.

Gng is not on the same level as esp cs or mayo.

Mayo and Esp CS are the same quality.

I'm more of a mayo guy personally but it's really up to you at the end of the day.

BTW the Setius is probably my favorite mayones model!

Im a huge fan of esp custom shop guitars, they have been my favs for years and i have owned alot of really nice guitars.
