This tune kicks so much ass...the tone is just the throatiest Les Paul / Marshall combo ever, very much in the Rev. BG's tonal World...

I saw these guys right after this came out circa 89' in a small club in Portland and it was just freaking insane. Curt Kirkwood was just on fire, playing with a quarter ala the Rev. again, the guy played his ass off. This tune played live was killer

Next time I saw them at the Pine Street Theater was the same deal, but even more intense....super aggro crowd down in front - but I had fortunately eaten a handfull of cubensis mushies that gave me the gnarliest farts EVER, that really helped to clear the pit around me with a cloud of toxic green gas   Still laughing about that one ;)

Cool. Listening now. I thought that I needed a subscription to listen to Rhap though?

Never mind. Just saw the notice that you get 25 free listens before you have to sign up.

I liked the tunes that I heard though. I used to like Backwater back in college and had the album but I haven't heard this one before. I am surprised because I used to search this kind of stuff out back then.

Meat Puppets kick ass. I saw them with Sonic Youth last year and it was amazing.

This tune is a sleeper and very much not what people associate the Meat Puppets with...grinding, driving, guitar fueled, dashboard pounding, ticket getting *metal*

The tone of that guitar just kills

Coolness. I have Too High To Die album. He does get a meaty chunk coming from his LP.
