Hope some people out there will enjoy this because its a classic song.

I'm new into recording and through using two amps, I learned that the crate blue voodoo puts out some harsh unwanted frequencies just past 2khz. I also learned that in my set-up (using one 12" on a 2x12 cab) the orange tiny terror sounds amazing. I got that amp through a random trade and im blown away at how good it sounds (compared to the blue voodoo anyway)

Mixed and Mastered by Jonathan Schnitzspan

I would recommend learning it. the lead work in this song will open new doors to your playing and how you approach guitar. Marty Friedman comes up with some of the most screwy phrases.

the rhythm to me has a cool shuffle feel mixed with metal riffage. I dont know much about theory, but thats how i would describe it

This guy is USING REAL GEAR folks
That's right, no amp modelers, plugins, or impulse responses. Maybe I could have said "using mic and cab"

sounds great man!
Can you share the tab/video you learned this from?

Great job! I don't think anyone can doubt how amazing a rythm composer and player Dave is after seeing this. Same goes for Marty on the leads. A testament to his greatest work. That album is a top 100 album if not top 10 album of all time for me.

I first learned the song about 7 years ago. so recalling what I already knew and those two videos. I used the tab as a reference. the way marty plays it is much easier and sounds cooler with the slides. between those two and my video, slow motion is your friend too.

couldn't agree more... how did they come up with this!??

Very nice job! That album was just killer, and the pinnacle for them as far as I'm concerned. Saw them play the Rust in Piece stuff live in 1991 along with Slayer, Anthrax, and Alice and Chains on the Clash of the Titans Tour, now that was a show!

Funny, I just happened to put on the album tonight on my drive home. Cranked thru the system in my car which just got upgraded. Sounds great and there's definitely some unusual riff and lead approaches plus of course virtuoso playing. It just works.

yeah, I think the crew that recorded rust in peace also recorded appetite for destruction. amazing sound.

Sadly, i doubt Marty ever recorded anything with the blue voodoo's. I think he just showed up and played whatever the engineers recommended.

I bought this blue voodoo for $250 on ebay.
