Pat, just got done watching quite a few of your vids, for the millionth time. No matter what you touch, the cleans are freaking amazing!! What's the secret brah? TC2290? Egnater TOL100?

combo of playing acoustic guitar for years,
then playing some of the most amazing fender amps and amps like two rock, fuchs, egnater, with the right tubes and speakers and guitars/pickups

and playing through some of the world's greatest effects (mostly from hanging out with my tone brother/partner in crime zachman) and really understanding how the effects work and combine by listening to cats like landau and ej...effects masters that not only play to the tone but know how to extract the very best from the tone and weave their touch and style into it.

those guys can both do that "transportation" thing to you on a special night with their clean tones..tone that makes you levitate!


and digi-----vai tries to be a sonic magician like ej and landau but always ends up being a weirdo instead

use good gear and know what you are trying to achieve with it

my gforce does a million things but I normally just use it for 3 or 4 things.
tc is known for pristine delay and chorus so that is what I use.

roger that. I'll go check out some TC gear and see what I can come up with. A new processor would be nice. Last one I bought in '92, Digitech GSP 21 Legend Pro w/footcontroller. Still have it. I think I still have the original box and manual it came with LOL!!!

Tc ND-1 Nova Delay and TC Stereo Chorus Flanger look nice. Are these same effects inside the TC Gmajor? Seems like you can get the Gmajor for close to the same price of both these pedals.

I'm handing this one off to Zach. he works at hotlicks guitar shop in hawaii and has the nova stuff around and also set up zepmans rig with the gmajor.

I a/b ed the major and the force and felt the f was just fatter and more controllable.
had the scf and it was great but I'm way into the arion

No the effects are not the same. If you're not opposed to rack gear, imo you get a WAY bigger bang for the buck with the G-Major--

The Nova Delay REALLY does sound nice, but fair warning for those who think plugging straight in and to the front of an amp is going to give you the same result you would if you plugged it into your series effects loop, and/or run stereo-- NOT going to happen.

I have high hopes for that unit. I missed NAMM this past year, so didn't get a chance to noodle with it.

not metal high gain, but just my idea of perfect marshall rock tone.
