I have a Mesa Boogie rectifier 4x12 os today and I was thinking about also getting a Bogner 4x12 slant (not übercab) with 4 v30 in it. Will there be a big difference in sound or will they be very Close? If they are very Close then there might be no idea to buy one? I have Three amps that I use 6505, 5150 mkII and Jcm 900 50w.

There is gonna be a difference. I personally think the bogner is a better sounding cab.
Its gonna be tighter in the lows and more focused. The os recto cabs are looser feeling and mesa has their own version of v30 that has a little less highs. The bogner cab will cut better in a band mix.
The os mesa cabs are full sounding but can also be flat sounding and sometimes dark when comparing them to other cabs.

I do not feel that the cabs sound the same.
I have a mesa os 4x12, i also have a uberkab and ive played a few of the bogner 4x12 with just v30.

Thx for the reply! So the Bogner will be even brighter than the Mesa? Forgot to say that these will be mostly used for recordings!
I also have the recto 2x12

Pretty big difference in sound. I've played a Recto OS 4x12 slant side-by-side with a Bogner 4x12 slant. The Bogner sounded warmer and thicker. It was more focused in the mid range. The Recto had more high/low extension (more thumb and it was brighter than the Bogner) but because of that seemed scooped. The cabs are built fairly differently. Mesa is considerably larger and has a fixed baffle rather than the Bogner's floating baffle.

Ah so the bogner would be softer in the 3k area than the mesa so to speak? :)

i wouldnt say brighter, i think its more balanced than the mesa because the mesa doesnt have as much mids but has a loose fat ass and highs.
i should have said that the mids was flat sounding, i didnt mean to give the impression that the bogner was brighter. its a warmer sounding cab and a better balanced sounding cab.

cardinal did a better job with his description than i did, thats part of the reason i didnt respond sooner. i hate giving descriptions.

I had a Bogner and a Mesa traditional cab side by side for a few months. The Bogner sounded better easily, it was warmer and less harsh. The Mesa had more treble, maybe more bass but less sweet midrange. If you strictly play metal maybe the Mesa is a better bet, for anything else the Bogner was better.
