He wants $400 for the mod. Call it $500 with shipping. I'm in the G maybe a little on the high side but it is a leather small logo #33XX. I'm on the fence.

Well shipping for a rectifier for $100 might get it one way but for $160 it will make a round trip so for almost $600 bucks for some resistor swaps I wouldn't do it unless it was a tremoverb bc they have more gain to be had after a mod.

The G to C mod, if Mike is unavailable (he charges less than 200 for it) is fairly simple and is posted on the Boogie Board I believe. I would search it out and try it yourself.

So here's a question for you guys. It's Friday night & I'm drinking tequila so I'm gonna ask. I just picked up a VERY early Dual G small logo which has tons of clarity, and the G tubbiness. I was going to send it in to Mike B. to mod it to C but he's not doing mods now. So, I'm thinking about sending it in to JT for his mod (which Reza pimped) which sounds very tight, my only concern is I don't want to lose "that Recto growl". What would YOU do?

Send it in and do it. And report back so I can send one

Who owns #6? Great amp for sure. I have #81, which is also a C. Also, at least to my ears, a boost is not needed. Recently had it serviced by Mike B and it's better than ever

Keep it stock till Mike B starts doing mods again. In the meantime, just boost it.
